MOOSE
The **moose** is the largest member of the deer family, found primarily in the northern parts of North America, Europe, and Asia. Known for their impressive size, moose can stand up to 7 feet tall at the shoulder and weigh between 600 to 1,500 pounds. Males, or bulls, have large, broad, palmate antlers that can span up to 6 feet. These antlers are shed annually. Moose have long legs, a dewlap (skin flap) under their throats, and a large, humped shoulders that contribute to their distinctive appearance. They are herbivores and spend much of their time in forests and wetlands, feeding on leaves, twigs, and aquatic plants. Despite their size, moose are excellent swimmers, capable of covering long distances in water to find food. They are solitary animals and tend to be more active during dawn and dusk, although they can be dangerous when startled, especially during the mating season.

LION
The lion (Panthera leo) is a large, powerful feline known for its majestic mane and muscular build. Males have a distinctive thick mane, which can vary in color from golden to dark brown, while females have a sleeker, tawny coat. Lions are apex predators, living in social groups called prides, where they hunt cooperatively, mostly targeting large herbivores. Their roar, which can be heard from miles away, is used to communicate and mark territory. Found mainly in sub-Saharan Africa, lions are symbols of strength and courage, though they are increasingly threatened by habitat loss and poaching

Elephant
The **elephant** is the largest land mammal, known for its impressive size, long trunk, and large ears. There are two main species: the African elephant, which is larger with larger ears, and the Asian elephant, which is slightly smaller with more rounded ears. Elephants are highly intelligent, social animals that live in matriarchal herds. Their trunks are incredibly versatile, used for feeding, drinking, and social interactions. Elephants have strong memories, especially regarding migration routes and water sources. These gentle giants are crucial to their ecosystems but are threatened by poaching for ivory and habitat loss.

CHEETAH
The **cheetah** is the fastest land animal, capable of reaching speeds up to 60-70 miles per hour in short bursts. This sleek, slender big cat is built for speed, with a lightweight body, long legs, and a flexible spine that allows for powerful strides. Cheetahs have distinctive black tear stripes running from the inner corners of their eyes down to the sides of their mouths, which help reduce glare and improve focus while hunting. Unlike other big cats, cheetahs cannot roar but make a variety of chirping sounds. They are primarily solitary animals, with males and females coming together only for mating. Their speed is an adaptation for hunting in open savannas, where they rely on surprise and quick acceleration to catch prey. However, cheetah populations are vulnerable due to habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict.
